GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Incident Commander, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall furnish Form A to the State Executive Committee within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall make an application in Form A to the State Executive Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a dam in an emergency is undertaken, and the State Executive Committee shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
