GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall furnish Form 12 to the Settlement Officer within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Settlement Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of allotted surplus land is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of West Bengal.
