Mumbai, dated the 24th January, 2009

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a printing press by keepers of a printing press under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Inspector of Police, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall furnish Form III to the Superintendent of Police within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall make an application in Form III to the Superintendent of Police within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a printing press is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
