GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The claiming of dependants' benefit by dependants of a deceased worker under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Social Security Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every dependant of a deceased worker carrying on the claiming of dependants' benefit shall furnish Form 1 to the Welfare Board within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dependant of a deceased worker carrying on the claiming of dependants' benefit shall make an application in Form 1 to the Welfare Board within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the claiming of dependants' benefit is undertaken, and the Welfare Board shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
