GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Dealing in second-hand goods by dealers in second-hand goods under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the officer in charge of a police station, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every dealer in second-hand goods carrying on dealing in second-hand goods shall furnish Form VII to the Superintendent of Police within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in second-hand goods carrying on dealing in second-hand goods shall make an application in Form VII to the Superintendent of Police within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in second-hand goods is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
