GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The distribution of films by distributors of films under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Press Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall furnish Form III to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall make an application in Form III to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of films is undertaken, and the Board of Film Certification shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
