GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The engagement of contract labour by principal employers under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Labour Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every principal employer carrying on the engagement of contract labour shall furnish Form VII to the appropriate Government within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every principal employer carrying on the engagement of contract labour shall make an application in Form VII to the appropriate Government within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the engagement of contract labour is undertaken, and the appropriate Government shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
