GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Ward Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall furnish Form A to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer is undertaken, and the Director of Municipal Administration shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
