GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall furnish Form 8 to the District Collector within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 8 to the District Collector within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a village tank is undertaken, and the District Collector shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of West Bengal.
