GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Municipal Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall furnish Form A to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form A to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of solid waste is undertaken, and the Town Vending Committee shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Karnataka.
