GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The manufacture of beedis by employers of beedi workers under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Conciliation Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every employer of beedi workers carrying on the manufacture of beedis shall furnish Form III to the Licensing Officer within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of beedi workers carrying on the manufacture of beedis shall make an application in Form III to the Licensing Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of beedis is undertaken, and the Licensing Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
