GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Tahsildar, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall furnish Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of an inam is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of West Bengal.
