Mumbai, dated the 11th March, 2007

GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall furnish Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the wholesale vend of liquor is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Maharashtra.
