GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Relief Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall furnish Form E to the Civil Defence Controller within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall make an application in Form E to the Civil Defence Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building is undertaken, and the Civil Defence Controller shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
