GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Naib Tahsildar, the Government of Bihar, after careful examination, hereby orders that every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall furnish Form 12 to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Bihar.
