GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Tahsildar, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall furnish Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
