New Delhi, dated the 13th June, 2006

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall furnish Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
