GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a dharamshala by keepers of a dharamshala under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Survey Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall furnish Form D to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall make an application in Form D to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a dharamshala is undertaken, and the Deputy Charity Commissioner shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
