GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Maharashtra Maritime Board Act, 1996, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Port Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall furnish Form 2 to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 2 to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
