Dehradun, dated the 13th May, 2026

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The arranging of marriages by marriage bureaus under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall furnish Form I to the District Court within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall make an application in Form I to the District Court within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the arranging of marriages is undertaken, and the District Court shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
