GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall furnish Form II to the District Registrar within one hundred and twenty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall make an application in Form II to the District Registrar within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children for adoption is undertaken, and the District Registrar shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
