GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The loading and unloading of ships by stevedores under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Port Officer, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every stevedore carrying on the loading and unloading of ships shall furnish Form 3 to the Mercantile Marine Department within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every stevedore carrying on the loading and unloading of ships shall make an application in Form 3 to the Mercantile Marine Department within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the loading and unloading of ships is undertaken, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
