GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Service as a conductor by conductors of a stage carriage under the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Highway Administration Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every conductor of a stage carriage carrying on service as a conductor shall furnish Form 1 to the Licensing Authority within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every conductor of a stage carriage carrying on service as a conductor shall make an application in Form 1 to the Licensing Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service as a conductor is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
