GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The execution of defence works by contractors for defence works under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Recruiting Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor for defence works carrying on the execution of defence works shall furnish Form E to the Cantonment Board within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for defence works carrying on the execution of defence works shall make an application in Form E to the Cantonment Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of defence works is undertaken, and the Cantonment Board shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
