GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The carrying on of a self-employed occupation by self-employed persons under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Branch Manager, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every self-employed person carrying on the carrying on of a self-employed occupation shall furnish Form 1 to the appropriate Government within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every self-employed person carrying on the carrying on of a self-employed occupation shall make an application in Form 1 to the appropriate Government within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a self-employed occupation is undertaken, and the appropriate Government shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
