GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The collection of tolls by toll plaza operators under the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector of Motor Vehicles, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every toll plaza operator carrying on the collection of tolls shall furnish Form 2 to the Regional Transport Authority within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toll plaza operator carrying on the collection of tolls shall make an application in Form 2 to the Regional Transport Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of tolls is undertaken, and the Regional Transport Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
