GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The solemnisation of marriages by Marriage Officers under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Registrar, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall furnish Form V to the District Registrar within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall make an application in Form V to the District Registrar within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the solemnisation of marriages is undertaken, and the District Registrar shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
