GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The administration of the estate of a deceased person by executors of a will under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every executor of a will carrying on the administration of the estate of a deceased person shall furnish Form VIII to the Maintenance Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executor of a will carrying on the administration of the estate of a deceased person shall make an application in Form VIII to the Maintenance Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the administration of the estate of a deceased person is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
