GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The solemnisation of marriages by Marriage Officers under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Probation Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall furnish Form VI to the Family Court within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall make an application in Form VI to the Family Court within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the solemnisation of marriages is undertaken, and the Family Court shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
