GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The solemnisation of marriages by Marriage Officers under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Probation Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall furnish Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the solemnisation of marriages is undertaken, and the Government of Uttarakhand shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
