GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam under the Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall furnish Form G to the Ground Water Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall make an application in Form G to the Ground Water Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a dam is undertaken, and the Ground Water Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
