GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall furnish Form I to the Maintenance Tribunal within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form I to the Maintenance Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a waqf is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
