GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Range Forest Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a diesel generator set carrying on the operation of a diesel generator set shall furnish Form I to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a diesel generator set carrying on the operation of a diesel generator set shall make an application in Form I to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a diesel generator set is undertaken, and the Biodiversity Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Karnataka.
