Chennai, dated the 26th February, 2024

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Surveyor, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall furnish Form 5 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 5 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
