GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Panchayat Development Officer, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall furnish Form 4 to the Director of Panchayats within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall make an application in Form 4 to the Director of Panchayats within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a village shop is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
