GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The generation of hazardous waste by generators of hazardous waste under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Environmental Engineer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every generator of hazardous waste carrying on the generation of hazardous waste shall furnish Form IV to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every generator of hazardous waste carrying on the generation of hazardous waste shall make an application in Form IV to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the generation of hazardous waste is undertaken, and the Biodiversity Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Kerala.
