GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The conduct of a pilgrimage by organisers of a pilgrimage under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registering Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every organiser of a pilgrimage carrying on the conduct of a pilgrimage shall furnish Form IV to the Competent Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a pilgrimage carrying on the conduct of a pilgrimage shall make an application in Form IV to the Competent Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of a pilgrimage is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
