ORDER

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Surveyor, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall furnish Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a well on Government land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
