GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Junior Engineer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall furnish Form H to the Board within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form H to the Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a reservoir is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of West Bengal.
