GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The business of clearing and forwarding by clearing and forwarding agents under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Controller of Weights, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every clearing and forwarding agent carrying on the business of clearing and forwarding shall furnish Form E to the Controller within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every clearing and forwarding agent carrying on the business of clearing and forwarding shall make an application in Form E to the Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of clearing and forwarding is undertaken, and the Controller shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
