GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The execution of canal works by contractors for canal works under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Ground Water Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor for canal works carrying on the execution of canal works shall furnish Form G to the Government of West Bengal within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for canal works carrying on the execution of canal works shall make an application in Form G to the Government of West Bengal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of canal works is undertaken, and the Government of West Bengal shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of West Bengal.
