GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a genetic counselling centre by genetic counselling centres under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Medical Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every genetic counselling centre carrying on the running of a genetic counselling centre shall furnish Form 29 to the Drugs Controller within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every genetic counselling centre carrying on the running of a genetic counselling centre shall make an application in Form 29 to the Drugs Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a genetic counselling centre is undertaken, and the Drugs Controller shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
