GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Extension Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall furnish Form 2 to the District Collector within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 2 to the District Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a rural water supply scheme is undertaken, and the District Collector shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
