GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a rice mill in a village by operators of a rice mill in a village under the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Panchayat Inspector, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a rice mill in a village carrying on the running of a rice mill in a village shall furnish Form 4 to the Gram Sabha within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rice mill in a village carrying on the running of a rice mill in a village shall make an application in Form 4 to the Gram Sabha within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a rice mill in a village is undertaken, and the Gram Sabha shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Kerala.
