GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a lodging house by owners of a lodging house under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Building Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall furnish Form C to the Municipal Council within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall make an application in Form C to the Municipal Council within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a lodging house is undertaken, and the Municipal Council shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
