Chandigarh, dated the 25th June, 2019

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall furnish Form E to the Government of Punjab within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Punjab within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Government of Punjab shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Punjab.
