Chennai, dated the 5th April, 2019

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The business of a depository participant by depository participants under the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Chief General Manager, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every depository participant carrying on the business of a depository participant shall furnish Form H to the Investor Protection Fund Trust within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every depository participant carrying on the business of a depository participant shall make an application in Form H to the Investor Protection Fund Trust within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a depository participant is undertaken, and the Investor Protection Fund Trust shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
