ORDER

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Surveyor, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall furnish Form 8 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 8 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
