GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The sponsoring of contract farming by contract farming sponsors under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Market Secretary, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contract farming sponsor carrying on the sponsoring of contract farming shall furnish Form B to the Government of Maharashtra within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contract farming sponsor carrying on the sponsoring of contract farming shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Maharashtra within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sponsoring of contract farming is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Maharashtra.
