GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a lodging house by owners of a lodging house under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Licensing Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall furnish Form D to the Town Planning Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall make an application in Form D to the Town Planning Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a lodging house is undertaken, and the Town Planning Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
